The Black Keys @ Terminal 5 NYC

Had the chance to catch The Black Keys last night at Terminal 5 in New York. It was the second of two sold out shows they played there this weekend and the band did not disappoint. For a two man band these guys get after it. They've come a long way from their days working on a landscaping crew together. Continue reading for some more pics of the show and of The Heartless Bastards, who opened (sadly we missed Lucero who also performed).

The Heartless Bastards (above). I had never heard these guys before but they were solid and got the crowd good and worked up before the Keys came on. I like that female lead. Impressive pipes on her.

I haven't been able to track down a setlist, but I remember Strange Times, Psychotic Girl, and my favorite, I Got Mine. Anybody remember others or have a full setlist?

  1. Definitely a fan of Terminal 5 to see a live show in NYC, and as for the Black Keys I'd would sum it as follows... How on Earth could 2 guys alone produce that sound? i kept asking myself that given how hard they were getting after it. Great time. Evan our matching blue vests were the only disappointment.

  2. Is there such a thing as too many blue vests at a show? Naw.
