In a last minute Valentine's Day maneuver I decided to go catch Jennifer O'Connor at Southpaw to celebrate this little holiday. I was put on to JO'C a couple years back by my Aunt Dorothy when she gave somebody in my family a copy of her "Over the Mountain, Across the Valley and Back to the Stars" album. From the listening of that disc I knew she had a good voice but I was impressed with her live performance. She sounded great and she got after it a bit on the guitar. I even got to hear personal favorite "Dirty City Blues".
