Les Paul, 'The Architect of Rock N' Roll' Dies at 94

Another legend was lost today as Les Paul, the inventor of the solid-body electric guitar and multi-track recording, passes. His guitars were played by Jimmy Page, Slash, Madonna, Neil Young, among many others. Luckily he will live forever in the music.

Happy Birthday Les Paul!

June 9, 1915 in Waukesha, WI, Lester William Polsfuss better known as Les Paul was born. Today HGH wishes him a happy birthday. It is said that without him and his perfecting of the solid body electric guitar Rock music would not be possible.

In 1939 he built a guitar dubbed 'the Log' and in a little over a decade after that, the Gibson Les Paul Goldtop was born...
