I had a chance to catch this band of siblings from Galena, Illinois (brother Frank is in there too) last night at The Living Room. Jypsi offers a traditional mix of bluegrass and country twinged tunes that keep you stomping your feet throughout.
Aside from the vocal talents of Lillie Mae, Scarlett jamming away on the mandolin, Amber Dawn stomping and going at the fiddle, and Frank flashing some impressive guitar solos, the ladies of Jypsi are a leggy and attractive bunch.
They'll be playing somewhat of a NY residency over the next couple weeks, so be sure to go check 'em out yourself.
