Windy City Winter Ball: Feb. 5 @ Double Door

This looks like fun. Being hailed as, "a formal rock and roll winter blowout," the 3rd annual Windy City Winter Ball will be at the Double Door on Feb. 5th. I can't get to Chicago for it, but I wanted to pass it along to any of our readers that might be in town that weekend. The Detroit Cobras will be headlining and I've been digging Rambos who are also playing (the remind me of Dead Confederate). Get your formal wear out, get some tickets, and get to the Double Door Feb. 5th.

Rocked out last night @ the Double Door. The Black Belts opened up and played a solid set of what sounded like Hard Rock Oldies... great combo. Dexter Romweber Duo came on next and continued to kill it, I definitely got to dig in more to Dex's tunes. And finally no surprise to anyone the Detroit Cobras came through and to put it simply ... delivered.

I'm keeping the review short and sweet...lots of photos below, I'll get some more up later maybe. Also Set list for Detroit Cobras is down there somewhere. If any of these three groups are ever in your area they are a must see.

The Detroit Cobras

I just picked up tix to see The Detroit Cobras @ the Double Door. Just solid gold garage rock right out of the decaying DETROIT, MI. Loud and Raw. Should be a fun show. Also performing that night is Dexter Romweber Duo. I got next to nothing on them but they sound promising. I'm going to dig in and research them a bit more but I like where they're at with this track I found.
