Ghostland Observatory @ Congress Theatre 11/20/09 Chicago (Videos)

I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect before this one. I mean...I have seen Ghostland Observatory before and have had a great time, but I'd heard horror stories of the crowd at Congress Theatre being young and well...young. and I guess they were, but the crowd was fun and enthusiastic. I didn't stick around for Deadmau5, but the Ghostland set was everything I'd hoped for. They played about an hour and with a sold out Congress I danced it up with the 17 and over crowd.
Very cool venue and after seeing these guys at All Points West this past summer play to a pretty sparse gathering (they were up against Coldplay and MGMT) it was cool to see them play a packed house. Enjoy a couple vids from the night. The laser and light show continue to impress. Go see these guys when you get a chance.

All Points West 2009: Sunday Ghostland Observatory Pictures & Videos

As 9PM rolled around Sunday night peopled started jockeying for position for Coldplay and MGMT, but a select and lucky few made their way to the Queen of the Valley tent for Ghostland Observatory. I'd seen these guys last year and had been inspired to dance my a$$ off. This night was no different. The guys from Austin and their set would prove to be my highlight of my limited time at APW on Sunday.

F@ck. These guys were awesome. I had considered leaving to try to catch MGMT, but couldn't pull myself away. Too much fun. If you have a chance to catch these guys do not pass up the opportunity. Good times guaranteed.
