It was a flashback to the mid-late nineties last night as I went to see the Dave Matthews Band perform their second of two back to back shows at Jones Beach. It was a little bit of a F@#$ around getting out there as our driver's car was dead as we left work, but BC pulled some strings and got us a ride out there. We made it just as the band took the stage. Sad to say we missed openers, Old Crow Medicine Show, but making it at all was in question there for awhile.
I hadn't been to see DMB since probably 2000 and probably wouldn't have done it if not for being offered some free tickets, but the band can still pack in the crowds and put on a solid show. It was a little like being transported back to my high school days when some of these tunes were playing on constant loop. In all, a fun night and a reminder of good times from years past.
