News has broke out on Jack White's latest project, he has left the guitar in the stand and moved to the drum kit. The new 4 piece band, The Dead Weather, will also include Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs), and Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age). Their album, Horehound, is to be released June 9th and I'm sure a tour will follow. We can't wait. Check out their website The Dead Weather.

We enjoyed seeing and hearing Patty Loveless last night at the Old Town School of Folk Music with Jim Lauderdale as the opening act. Good, fun country and bluegrass-toe tapping fun. It was a little short since there were 2 shows, but I guess that also means more people had the chance to enjoy the music.
